AI(i) Set: a unit of a match made up of games; the first player to win six games with a lead of at least two games wins the set.
(ii) Ace: a service that the receiver cannot touch, and which wins the point directly.
(iii) Slice: a stroke in which the racket moves from high to low across the ball, putting backspin on it so that it stays low.
(iv) Down the line: a shot hit straight along the sideline, parallel to it, rather than across the court.
(v) Drive: a basic groundstroke played after the bounce with a full swing, forehand or backhand, giving the ball speed and topspin.
