Explain the following: (i) Blocking faults (ii) Antennae
Answer
Answer
AI(i) Blocking faults: blocking the opponent's service, blocking the ball in the opponent's space before or at the same time as the opponent's attack hit, a player touching the net or the ball being blocked from the back row or libero, and blocking out of the court.
(ii) Antennae: two flexible rods, 1.80 m long and 10 mm in diameter, fixed to the outer edge of each side band of the net, on opposite sides. They mark the lateral limits of the crossing space; the ball must cross the net between them.
