1. Conduct the toss and inspect the court, net, ball and equipment before the match.
2. Control the match from the beginning to the end and supervise the officials.
3. Make decisions on the service, faults and the positions of the players.
4. Give penalties for misconduct and delays.
5. Authorise substitutions and time-outs.
6. Decide any matter not covered in the rules.
