Throw-in is a method of restarting play, awarded to the opponents of the team that last touched the ball, when the whole of the ball crosses the touch line, on the ground or in the air. Process of throw-in: 1. The thrower faces the field of play. 2. Part of each foot is on the touch line or on the ground outside it. 3. The ball is thrown with both hands, from behind and over the head. 4. The ball is thrown from the point where it crossed the touch line. 5. The ball is in play as soon as it enters the field; the thrower may not touch it again until another player has played it. 6. A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw-in.
