Write the chemical equation for the following.
Aniline is treated with bromine water.
Answer
Answer
AIEquation: $\mathrm{C_{6}H_{5}NH_{2}} + 3\mathrm{Br_{2}} \xrightarrow{\text{bromine}\text{ }\text{water}} \mathrm{C_{6}H_{2}Br_{3}NH_{2}} + 3\mathrm{HBr}$
Product: 2,4,6-tribromoaniline
Aniline reacts with bromine water at room temperature to give a white precipitate of 2,4,6-tribromoaniline.
