Duties of Assistant Referees (any five): 1. To indicate when the whole of the ball has passed out of play, and which team is to take the corner kick, goal kick or throw-in. 2. To indicate when a player is in an offside position and penalised for it. 3. To indicate when a substitution is requested. 4. To signal with the flag misconduct or an offence that occurs out of the referee's view. 5. To assist the referee in controlling the match as the referee directs. 6. To check that the goalkeeper does not move off the goal line before a penalty kick is taken, and whether the ball has crossed the line.
