AIFive offences for which a player is sent off and shown a red card:
1. Serious foul play, such as a dangerous tackle using excessive force.
2. Violent conduct, such as striking or fighting an opponent or official.
3. Spitting at an opponent or any other person.
4. Denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (other than the goalkeeper in his own penalty area).
5. Using offensive, insulting or abusive language or gestures, or receiving a second caution (yellow card) in the same match.
