Answer
Answer
AICardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency first aid procedure of chest compressions and rescue breaths given to a person whose heart and breathing have stopped, to keep blood and oxygen flowing to the brain and vital organs.
1. Check the response and call for medical help.
2. Lay the person on the back on a firm surface and open the airway by tilting the head back and lifting the chin.
3. Give 30 chest compressions at the centre of the chest, about 5 cm deep, at a rate of 100 to 120 per minute.
4. Give 2 rescue breaths, pinching the nose and covering the mouth.
5. Continue the cycle of 30 compressions and 2 breaths until help arrives or the person recovers.
