AIStimulants are drugs that stimulate the central nervous system, increasing alertness, heart rate and energy, and delaying fatigue.
1. Examples: caffeine, amphetamines, cocaine, ephedrine.
2. Effects: raise heart rate and blood pressure, cause restlessness, sleeplessness and anxiety.
3. Misuse can cause addiction, dehydration, heart problems and even death.
4. They are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), and their use is called doping.
