1. The server's or receiver's feet are not inside the service court, or are moved before the service is delivered.
2. The shuttle is hit above the waist at service.
3. The shuttle lands outside the boundary lines or passes through or under the net.
4. The player touches the net with the racket or body, or hits the shuttle twice in succession.
5. The shuttle is caught or slung on the racket, or the player obstructs an opponent.
