AIA penalty stroke is awarded when:
1. A defender commits a foul in the circle that prevents a probable goal.
2. A defender intentionally commits a foul in the circle that prevents a goal.
3. A defender commits a foul in the circle when a goal would probably have been scored.
4. The ball is intentionally played or stopped by a defender in the circle against the rules, preventing a goal.
