AISFI stands for Swimming Federation of India, the national governing body of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming in India.
1. It is affiliated to the international federation (World Aquatics, formerly FINA) and to the Indian Olympic Association.
2. It promotes and develops swimming in the country and frames the rules for competitions.
3. It organises national championships and selects teams for international events such as the Olympic Games, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
