3D geometry and vectors calculator

Type up to four points, vectors, lines and planes, and get everything ISC Mathematics asks about them: distances, angles, the foot of the perpendicular and the image of a point, the shortest distance between skew lines, where a line meets a plane, dot and cross products, areas and the plane through three points - exact answers, with surds.

Points: A = (1, 2, 3). Vectors: a = 2i - j + 3k. Lines: L: (x - 1)/2 = (y + 3)/-1 = z/4 or r = (i + 2j) + λ(2i - k). Planes: P: 2x - y + z = 5 or r·(2i - j + k) = 5.

Try: point, line and planeshortest distance between linestwo vectorsline meets planeplane through 3 points

Read as

  • a vector 2i - j + 3k
