Alkylamine is soluble in water whereas arylamine is insoluble in water.

AIBecause alkylamine forms hydrogen bonds with water and its alkyl group is small, whereas in arylamine the large hydrophobic aryl group and the lone pair delocalised into the ring reduce hydrogen bonding with water.
