AI(i) An appeal is a request made by the fielding side to the umpire, by shouting 'How's that?', to decide whether a batsman is out.
(ii) Bump ball is a ball hit by the batsman into the ground before it is caught by a fielder, so that the catch is not fair and the batsman is not out.
