Answer the following.
Explain the Duckworth rule in the game of cricket.
Answer
Answer
AIThe Duckworth-Lewis rule is a mathematical method used to set a revised target score in a limited-overs match that is interrupted by rain or bad light.
1. It is used to decide the result when a match cannot be completed in the normal way.
2. It works out the resources (overs left and wickets in hand) of each team and revises the target of the team batting second on that basis.
3. It was devised by Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis and is applied by the match officials.
