AIRules related to the conduct of races:
1. Swimmers must start from the starting block or the pool edge on the starter's signal; a false start leads to disqualification.
2. Each swimmer must stay in his or her own lane throughout the race.
3. A swimmer must not obstruct or interfere with another swimmer.
4. Swimmers must use the stroke prescribed for the event and make the turns and finish as the rules require.
5. The swimmer must touch the wall at each turn and at the finish, and the finish is judged by the touch of the swimmer's hand or any part of the body.
