Study the Assertion and Reason and choose the correct option.
Matrix ‘A’ is not invertible. In a third order matrix denotes the element of the row and the column.
Assertion: Matrix ‘A’ is not invertible.
Reason: Determinant A = 0
In a third order matrix $a_{ij}$ denotes the element of the $i^{\text{th}}$ row and the $j^{\text{th}}$ column.
$A = [a_{ij}] = \begin{cases} 0, & \text{for } i = j \\\\ 1, & \text{for } i > j \\\\ -1, & \text{for } i < j \end{cases}$
- (a)Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion.
- (b)Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion.
- (c)Assertion is true and Reason is false.
- (d)Assertion is false and Reason is true.
